Back from some family duty in Sonora, Mexico and it is good to be back. It is taking me some time to get all caught up with various threads of my day to day life. And then, getting caught up with online life….oy!
On the bright side, my relative, who has been living in Sonora for the lower cost of living , will be moving in with me sometime early next year. Until then, I am counting pennies and all other cash to continue helping pay for her medical treatment for breast cancer.
It was a shock to come home and catch up on over 85 American names of the troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and a goodly number of other Coalition troops as well. My mind is mounting a rebellion against holding those numbers correctly in memory; I think it is a bizarre manifestation of how keeping books on this is getting to me. I think I will sign up this blog with the Blue Pyramid list of blogs for peace. I just want it done, I want our soldiers, Marines, airmen and sailors home and out of the sandbox. I cannot fight this desire any longer and cannot hedge it here in print. I never berate the few visitors to the Labyrinth with my anti-war feelings; but I just can’t pretend here any longer. I HATE it and want it ended.
