We Should Listen to George

Not THAT one, the other one: George Carlin!  He has died, and with the loss of one more man who can make us thoughtfully laugh at our own stupidity, the world is definitely poorer.  We could still give that listening a try, we could try harder to prove this statement of his to be incorrect:

“I sort of gave up on this whole human adventure a long time ago,” he said a couple of years ago. “Divorced myself from it emotionally. I think the human race has squandered its gift, and I think this country has squandered its promise. I think people in America sold out very cheaply, for sneakers and cheeseburgers. And I don’t think it’s fixable.”  (George Carlin)
