Spicy Blog-Delights- Monday #2
Some of you will notice I have added some new blogs to my list. I am enjoying hunting and reading and tasting new minds! Just some spicy samples for you:
You hear everyone screaming that America is number one? Not so much as you may think! I found this chart here!
And again, let it be noted, you are NOT paranoid if they really ARE out to get you! Or at least, control your world!
Oh my! Rich people being made unhappy? Poor widdle wich guys!
Your cell phone should come with a flashing neon warning:
Texting is dangerous to your life!
And Ann Althouse wants an apology? Right…cause being called on racism is sooooo insulting, right Ann? So griping about the blogger’s paraphrasing of your term “significant & individual heroes” about a list including Jefferson Davis, a traitor and seditionist seems pretty pissy to me. Just saying.
And not new….but always worth a look at favorites:
Apparently Texas qualifies for the old phrase, “If you can’t be a good example at least be a horrible example.” Because California doesn’t want to go where Texas schoolbooks went!
And jobs? America needs to build herself out of a bad economy? On THESE jobs, you say? Handwriting on the wall, folks…
Monday New Reader Note
Yes, the comments thingie is busted. I am sorry, but at least mostly spamless.
You may voice your opinion in two other ways. Go to the main page of the website
(http://www.walkofthefallen.com ) and click either contact or forum. The first will let you write me a letter, the second will let your register to post at the message boards recently rebuilt.
Registering here is a waste of time, since the comment thing is busted. And the Forum is a separate place—registering here does not count there. Sorry, that is how the software works.
Enjoy the widgets….most of them take you to charitable places that I support monthly. When I say I support the troops I MEAN it. And no, I don’t own a yellow ribbon magnet.
I publish lists here at every change of moon phase—they are the most recently released names of the dead American and Coalition troops killed in Iraq & Afghanistan. I am sorry, I do not have photos. But again, at the main page, the Links page might help you.
My blog roll changes from time to time and not everything there is a blog. If a blogger goes inactive more than six months, Iusually drop it. And sometimes I put things up there as a trial run….but, fickle bitch that I am, sometimes I lose interest there, too. After all, that is what having a blog is about—having MY say and MY way.
I am a vet, a woman, a wife, a mother, a pagan, and a feminist. Some hate me because of that, and some feminists don’t claim me and refuse to acknowledge me—apparently I am too reasonable (being I actually like men and consider them human beings); and I find shrill screaming and victimology repulsive. I prefer throaty cursing and brain-battering…..but that is a post for another time.
Blogroll Amnesty Day
Let me get this straight? I am to blogroll five blogs smaller than myself?
Holy cats….I am infintisimally tiny, actually, since I assume I get hit more by search engines than readers. So who the heck is smaller than me?
So heck, I will do what I always do when unsure of the validity of instruction: ignore them. I KNOW the first blog is huge compared to mine, but it is younger than mine.
It is “A Day in the Fat Life” and discusses the perils of daring to suggest that being thin is not necessarily healthier, better, smarter or any other “er” usually attached.
And one I have been reading for a while, I don’t know how it hasn’t been listed before is Deuddersun Says! Here the resident scholar holds forth for the American Patriot Institute! We must have “patriot” defined, after all, by someone other than Ann Coulter.
I am also enjoying The Great Endarkenment and think some of you will find laughter there as well. Recent postings about brothers-in-laws of the Republican type engender both giggles and sympathy.
I find that The Crone Speaks….at least to me, and I think she may have plenty that will speak to you, too. Do go peek and enjoy and feel spurred to steam-out-of-ears action taking.
And I am exploring Mock, Paper, Scissors….come look with me!
AND (drumroll please) Belief Net has added a pagan blogger that I have been reading on Wordpress for ages: Gus Dizerga! Yeehaw!
I also added a number of blogs I have been reading for a good while, surprised to find they were not already on the list; an oversight on my part….so browse and enjoy!
Mind you, I have no idea how many readers these blogs get. But I will share the wealth out of curiosity! If there are other bloggers out there who read here and want their name on my list, just contact me with the contact button on the main page!
Welcome the Misfit!
Don’t know how I missed blog-rolling a favorite read for SO long. And I think this self-titled misfit is an excellent fit. I mean, pointy boots up deserving butts ALWAYS fit…right?
