Music Weekend

Found this Norwegian jazz musician completely by accident and I am enthralled!

A Good Time Was Had By All

Just a Note of seasonal interest.  Trans-Siberian Orchestra is touring, they were in Seattle last night, in Portland tonight.  It was three hours of musical metal-classical bliss.

Worthwhile even in the cheap seats…a good opening to the winter season, even if you are, like me, a heathen-pagan sort.  Because Christmas is not just about Christ.  It is about the “child” in the most universal sense….about love, and having a special reason to care.  And the last two hours were not Christmas at all….but a mad melange of classical from Beethoven to Musorgski with lights, lazers, fireworks and flying stages.

Go…if you can at all, do go!  It is worth it to me simply for their very own Queen of the Night!
